You're NOT already holding a postgraduate taught degree from a UK university (even if you studied it online or at a UK branch campus abroad).
You live in one of these countries:
Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand, Turkey, South Africa.
(Live somewhere else? Don’t panic—UAL has other scholarships worth £7,000 and £14,000.)
Your annual household income is £55,000 or less (or the equivalent in your currency, OANDA can help you check).

What do you need to submit?

Apart from the usual documents, there’s a short written application. Four questions. 350 words each max. Nothing soul-destroying. Here’s what they’ll ask:

How would the scholarship make a difference in your life?
What are your post-degree plans?
How would your degree help you tackle real-world issues back home, especially around social justice or sustainability?
What other funding (if any) are you relying on?

How to apply (and when)

Step 1: Get an offer for a qualifying course at UAL.
Step 2: From mid-January 2025, check the ‘My Finance and Funding’ tab on your UAL applicant portal for the scholarship application form.
Deadline: Sunday, 22 June 2025 (11:59 pm UK time)
Decision by: 31 July 2025
Course start date: September/October 2025

No late or incomplete applications will be accepted. Don’t be that person.

What’s the catch?

The award only covers tuition fees. You'll still need to budget for accommodation, travel, and living costs.
If your tuition fee for Year 1 is less than £25,000, the remaining amount will go toward your Year 2 fees (if applicable).
You can’t hold more than one UAL scholarship. If you’re lucky enough to win more than one, you’ll have to pick one.
