University of Nottingham Announces Up to 100% Tuition Scholarships for 2026 Masters Students

If you’ve ever looked at your home country and thought, “I know exactly what could make this better”, the University of Nottingham wants to hear from you.

The Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship is one of Nottingham’s flagship programs, created way back in 2001, designed especially for students from Africa, South Asia, and selected Commonwealth countries who dream of driving real change back home.

And yes, it’s generous, covering 50% or even 100% of your tuition fees for a full-time master’s program starting in 2026.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, you need to:

• Be from Africa, India, or one of the eligible Commonwealth countries
• Be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
• Hold an offer to start a full-time master’s (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham, UK
• Study within the Faculty of Engineering, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, or Social Sciences

How to Apply?

Applications are open till Wednesday, 15 April 2026, but here’s how to do it right:

• Apply for a master’s program first - You’ll need an offer from Nottingham before applying for the scholarship.
• Pay the application fee - Your academic application won’t be reviewed until this is processed.
• Once you have your offer, head to NottinghamHub (the university’s application portal) to apply for the scholarship.
  • MRes students should email: scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk for details.
  • If your master’s program is two years long, the scholarship will only cover the first year’s tuition.

The Result

Winners will hear back by May 2026, with either a 50% or 100% tuition fee scholarship. The award amount will be directly deducted from your tuition fee, not handed out as cash.

Please keep in mind that you cannot combine this scholarship with any other Nottingham awards. They will automatically apply for the higher-value one if you happen to receive more than one.
