Radboud University Opens Applications for 2026 Scholarship Offering Up to €15,000 Fee Reduction

The Radboud Scholarship Program may be your ticket to success if studying in the Netherlands has always been on your wish list.

This is for all of the academic achievers, dreamers, and doers from outside the EU/EEA who have been achieving great grades, have big dreams, and intend to leave their mark in their field of study.

What’s the deal with this scholarship?

Here’s what makes the Radboud Scholarship extra special, it’s super selective, but also super rewarding. If you make it through, your tuition fee drops from a whopping €18,000 to just €2,695.

Yep, you read that right. A saving of more than €15,000!

Furthermore, during your time studying in the Netherlands, the scholarship also pays for your health insurance, liability insurance, residency permit, and visa. In essence, it facilitates a smooth transition to your new life as an international student.

You'll still need to set aside money for housing, food, and the odd stroopwafel craving because it only covers your cost of living.

How many scholarships are up for grabs?

For the 2026–27 academic year, only 33 scholarships are available, spread across different faculties like:

  • Faculty of Arts
  • Faculty of Law
  • Nijmegen School of Management
  • Faculty of Science
  • Faculty of Social Sciences
  • Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies

Who’s eligible to apply?

  • Hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport
  • Have (or will soon have) a bachelor’s degree from outside the Netherlands
  • Meet the English proficiency requirements for your master’s program
  • Have been fully admitted to an English-taught master’s at Radboud starting September 2026

You’ll also need to upload:

  • Your CV
  • Two reference letters (preferably academic)

Pro tip: Even if you already uploaded these documents for your program application, upload them again for the scholarship just to be safe.

Deadlines you can’t miss

  • 31 January 2026 – Submit your initial application.
  • 14 February 2026 – Make sure everything’s complete and resubmitted.

No extensions. No exceptions. So plan early!

Results are expected around mid-April 2026.

What will get you selected?

Selection isn’t just about grades. The panel looks for students who:

  • Have strong academic performance and relevant background
  • Show ambition and motivation in their essays
  • Have extracurricular experiences that make them stand out (like internships or volunteering)
  • Provide solid recommendation letters

In a nutshell

The Radboud Scholarship Programme is one of those rare chances that can turn your “study in Europe” dream into reality, without leaving a giant dent in your savings.

If you’re a hardworking, passionate student from India or any non-EU country, and ready to bring your ideas to the Netherlands, this is your sign to apply now.
